WHICH TRANSMITER
Hi,
Which of these two transmiters should I get: 1) Ko propo Helios 2) Airtronics M11 The transmiters have to work with the Novak xXtra receiver |
I use a M11 and have been for 18 months. It's a very good, smooth radio with heaps of options to play with. I would say the only down side is that this thing chews batteries like no tomorrow. I go through 8 AA cells in 4 race meets. If you do decide to get one, buy rechargables.

i own m11 and held a helios the other night it felt a lot more balanced than my m11 but m11 has a kick as screen and every feture, it even vibrates lol it can just be a tad uncormfortable
btw i have small hands |
I own a M11 and love it...
I have used a 3PK, Helios, React, Sensor and a few others, and none of them for me feel as balanced or as comfortable in the hand as the M11... Both radios are just as user rich as each other (with the M11 being slightly faster in response time) It is mainly just user preference, to what feels most comfortable for you.. NOTE: people with big hands usually like the 3PK or Helios compared to the M11, where as people with small hands prefer the M11.... |

You don't want something that is uncomfortable for you. I own a Helios and love it, great radio, but it is down to your personal preference. |
My friend has just brought a KO Helios about 5 months ago and i have felt it it is probably the most ergonomic radio i have ever picked up he also runs a lithium battery in it so it is SUPER LIGHT and the menu looks really easy i just got my 3pk about a year and a bit ago so i wont be buying anything new anytime soon  but i quite like the 3PK i also run a lithium pack in it which makes it lighter but i think you get used to it after a while anyway ;)
cheers Chris |

cheers Chris also, the old mars or Mars R is alot cheaper, and if you are using a spectrum the speed advantage/response time that the helios has over the Mars R is lost anyway. if the grips on your radio are too small, use tennis racquet grip tape on the handle. |
i've used teh JR XS3 & felt comfortable with it, the Spektrum DSX3 (older one) & hated it. & i now own the M11 & it's by far my favourite for feel & functionality. it has everything you need & more. when i got mine i had to order it from overseas as the local importer refused to import it & when i rang them said they had no intention to do so. not sure if they are importing it now or not. i run 1000 mAh nicads in it & charge it before every race meet, it lasts the day no worries.
