Default Vintage buggies racing at Keilor this Sun 23/02/20

Lol, no pun intended buddy 😎. Should be a great day....

Hopefully we should have at least five vintage/Re-re's out there. Here's the hopeful list as I know it at this stage:
Tamiya Frog, re-re.
Tamiya Wild One, re-re.
Kyosho Scorpion, re-re.
Tamiya Wild One, orig.
Tamiya Hornet.?
We'll all be running silver can 27t mabuchi/johnson kit motors. Mostly powered by Nimh's and Nicad's. Entering in 21.5 Brushless class.
Don't be shy guys, dust off those old buggies and hit the dirt. We're just in it for the fun factor, nothing serious. 😎

It was a good start that continued to spark interest. Next meet is 08-3-2020, we're hoping to get out there again on the 22-3-2020.

Check 720spin facebook for pics from the day.

Gutted I missed this Vintage Event. I have a mk1 Ultima (shelf queen and in need a some repair!!!) and an Ultima Pro XL which I would love to run.
I also have a ReRe Hornet which has a 17T motor and does dap along pretty well.

I am looking to try and find somewhere to meet like minded people. I am all the way down in Torquay but if more events like the one above happen I am happy to travel up and have a go.

Cheers

Hi Velly and all Vintage enthusiasts,
this is not a special event as such, just a regular club meeting where us Vintage enthusiasts race in the 21.5t 2wd Class. We are looking at racing at least once a month so we'll be there Sunday 22-03-20. Bring any of your vintage buggies down for a run, but if your wanting to race with us you must abide by the 21.5t 2WD rules, which is basically either use a Silver can 540 Mabuchi or Johnson motor or 21.5t Brushless, and F. D. R no less than 6.0. Look forward to seeing more vintage Buggies at Keilor.

Here is the hopefull line up as I know it:
Tamiya Frog re-re 540
Tamiya Wild One re-re 540
Tamiya Wild One original 21.5t Brushless
Tamiya Neo (new school vintage look buggy) 540
Tamiya dt-02 SandScorcher (narrow) 540
RC10 Gold pan re-re 21.5t Brushless.
