HSP/ nitro buggys and trucks

Hi guys
just been looking around on the web at these nitro cars, they come in a 1/10 scale and as well as 1/8 . You have the buggy called the Atomic and the monster truck called the Tyrannosaurus.
I've seen the Tyrannosaurus in action and was impressed how good it was for the money as a rtr.
In the 1/8 scale you have the Bazooka and the Tornado monster truck.

These cars look good and I worked on one to help a young 'rc-er' out and what you got for the dollar was good value for money.

Just like to hear other comments on these rc cars

Agreed.

I have had an HSP Atomic (gone to another home now) which was great for the money. I eventually had to be upgrade it, as like many other 1/10 buggies was not strong enough to stand up to nasty things like gutters. It kasted really well but I tried treating it like a 1/8 buggy and it stood up to it quite well really.

I now run an HSP Sonic onroad which is great. With a ported VX18 motor it goes like the wind but obviously it doesn't conform to race specs. I use it mainly for fun drifting.

If the Bazooka had been around when I bought My Hyper 7 I would have gone that way as it is basically a clone of a Kyosho MP777 and a bloody strong mutha. I have since replaced many parts on my Hyper with HSP items including now waiting on a Ported VX21 as it is a MUCH better motor than the standard Mach21.

There is a forum dedicated to these HSP cars at http://plaighobbies.forumsplace.com/

I have been racing the onroad (HSP and HIMOTO) for some time and have just past them on to my kids to learn with, there not bad as a first up beginner car and parts are cheap, don't forget they have just released the the new RXB-1 and RXT-1 (Himoto) and also the Atomic and Tyranno have been updated with PBS

I started racing 1/8 buggy this year, and while I know the Bazooka buggy has its critics I feel it i great value for money and holds its own on a track with some adjustment and fine tunning to the set up.

I have raced it at meets and have come away from the meets happy with my buggy. Parts are priced well, the engine is good and the buggy has held up well at the track.
