I think that I will "ease" my way back by racing 2WD 540. Yes , I can hear the mutterings......"what a wuss , jump right in and race modified" but after 15 years out I think I might begin by crawling before I walk.

All that , and the fact that I will be going into the meeting basically sight-unseen on the layout (except for a brief visit to a meeting pre-xmas).

We have a few new Guys running 540, more the merrier.
They're not that slow with 4200's, especially at Knox.

I think a 540 class is good, and can it be a full class ......a bit like Melbourne cup where the field is to the max ....like 12 cars or so !!!!!

Wow , what a weekend I'm going to have......Melbourne Storm trial game on Saturday 3rd March then Knox Cup on 4th March. I may have to get a cardboard cutout made so my partner doesn't forget what I look like

If I wasn't committed to a trip over Bass Strait to Tassie I'd be in Maitland like a shot for the Nationals......maybe next year
