for anyone interested in having a close up look at the new Corally Assassin touring car kit, please be aware that it will be on display at Dei Rossi Hobbies on March 27th 2003 (yes 2003!). The Assassin kit will also be on display at the Melbourne Toy and Hobby fair, all next week.

Australian stock of the car is expected late April.

Dei Rossi Hobbies are at Shop 1, 208 - 212 Queens St, Campbelltown.

The first versionm is to be all alloy, and called the master version i think, second version in a couple of months will be plastic composite, and then a third gen car will be released with composite chassis also.

i like the idea of the second and third gen cars, but i am surprised about the first gen car.

Yes the first shipment is all alloy arms until they can work out the moulds for it. The plastic one will be at least five months away. Duel drive trains included in the Kit ie twin belt or one belt.

I still don't know what they did about the shocks as this is a real big issue with any car. As it was displayed it had shocks on it but won't be the ones that it will come out with. These were still under development.

the shocks on the car will be based on Serpent/Xray bodies with fixed pistion internals.

it will cost more than a Losi, less than an Xray. The composite armed car will be substantially cheaper, as will the composite tubbed car later in the year.

I think the price should be around $750 to $800

Hey did you guys see that the inboard toe is adjustable in some way and the anti squat seems like it may be more tunable than the 4.1 as well.

And the front and rear roll centres will actually allow a more horizontal and adjustable roll axis which is good for a change!

Corally are still promoting the end of April as the release, so we should hopefully see them in May some time. YUM.
