MECA Round one

Anyone have the results for today's race?

Besercoe 03-02-2003 04:42 AM

Well it was a good meeting, thanks to Steve, and also belinda for letting him come out and play on your birthday.

Not sure of the number but there were a lot of entries, 15 heats to be exact. with a good showing in all classes, even 1/12th where there were nine entries. so make sure to dust off that 1/12th in the cupboard and come out and play.

Nitro open was won by Daccin Campbell, not sure of placings
Modified was Campbell( yet again), Myself second, and Ari third
1/12th was Was Ari, Myself second and Black knight third ( how does it feel to be beaten by your old car, i am still prepared to swap mate?)

Was a little late getting underway, considering the numbers, pre entry will most likely be compulsory from now on, it takes approx an hour to submit entries.

The track surface seems to be getting better and better, with grip coming up much quicker now, with a black line visible after round 2

Anyway looking forward to the next meca.

See you all down at the creek in two weeks time on Sat night, and remember bring your 1/12th.

too bad i didnt have my good body on, it would have been a pretty much a Skid Lid body class.

Look at that beautiful Hacker Brushless system, i just love not having to worry about speed ( 8 turn performance race after race), available from all good shops, Call George at Hobbytown for Prices.

Sponsors:lol: , i have all i need, well i guess an RC sponsor would be good to complement those corporate ones. Seems like i am too outspoken, people dont like to hear the truth.

If you want guaranteed speed get a sexray and a brushless :tire: :tire: , and go smoke some foams.

Mention must be made of Burt reynolds (aka Mr Zarb) was given a rtr xxxs losi to try, they opened the box, installed a JRM, strapped in a charged pack, and took third place in the B, well done mate. This would have to be the best value kit in existence, around $750, car, computer radio ,GM speedo, Prepainted body.

now i see it there is a strange resemblence to burt:lol:

Besercoe 03-02-2003 03:37 PM

Contact, no mate definately no agreement for this fat bastard, all i do is say it like i see it. If a product is good i will say it.

Well re publication, i think RC Car Action and Extreme wouldnt want a contributor from "Down Under", and i doubt you will be seeing my name in RTR errrrrr racing lines ( pardon my stuttering) any time soon.

Hmmmm, the MECA police were quiet on Sunday :D

ScottyP 03-03-2003 05:42 PM

Anyone know the placings in Pre-Modified... oops, I mean 'Stock'.

Unfortunately I had to leave before the finals due to illness.

Also, what time did it all wrap up?

How about we make pre-entry compulsory for Canberra along with an 8:30am start time for the first heat? Penalty for entering on the day could be that you don't get to race the first round?

Scotty

Besercoe 03-03-2003 05:51 PM

Scotty i am the first to admit i am guilty of not pre entering, but i too believe that pre entry should be enforced strictly, so that we can get under way early.

ScottyP 03-03-2003 06:00 PM

I too was guilty of not pre-entering for Sunday, but I sure as hell would if I had known I would not have been able to race the first round.

For Canberra I'll do the right thing and send my entry off nice and early. I just hope they don't reward the late-comers again and punish the people who do the right thing. I don't fancy setting off back to Sydney at 8pm on Sunday night.

Scotty
