Help Please!!!

Hi all,

I bought a jrxs and swapped my electronics over from my old tourer and put them in. I had to shorten the wires on the esc so i cut them back and re soldered them. Now when i go to connect my battery up the motor goes flat out without the esc being turned on. I have a GTX speedy. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I changed motors over and it still does it.

Any help would be great.

Thankyou

Are you sure you are using the same receiver/radio. If you change radios you will need to reset your speedie so that it has the correct max throtle max brake and neutral positions stored.

Fast XXXS,

You dont appear to have your - motor wire (blue one) connected to your endbell.

Yah by the looks of this piccy, the middle (blue one) should be Negative motor bound

POS + is batt and motor
and Bat (-) speaks for itself

cant see enough of your car to help n e more

The blue one is the negative battery wire. There is a black one that goes to my motor which is hard to see but its next to the red one for the motor.

IF YOUR WIRING IS CONNECTED PROPERLY AND YOUR MOTOR RUNS WITHOUT THE SPEED CONTROLLER BEING TURNED ON THEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SPEED CONTROLLERS MOSFET SWITCHING TRANSISTORS BEING SHORTED .DIODES ARE SHORTED WITHIN THE MOSFET TRANSISTORS.

EXCESSIVE HEAT ON THE SOLDERING IRON HELD ON WIRING CAN CAUSE THE ATOMS THEY ARE IN THE WIRING COPPER OR SILVER TO VIBRATE CAUSING A CURRENT FLOW .EXCESSIVE CURRENT CAUSED BY HEAT CAN DAMAGE THE ESC.

THATS WHY THEY SAY DONT SOLDER FOR TO LONG ON THE WIRING AND IF YOU CAN USE CLIPS AND NOT SOLDER ,LIKE THEY DO ON COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT NOTHING IS SOLDERED EVERYTHING IS CRIMPED.

JUST A THOUGHT .I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT FOR YOU.

If you haven't changed the wires from factory set up the black is batt and the blue is motor.

Fast XXXS 12-21-2006 10:31 PM

Ok i just realised what my problem is. As Syndicate pointed out i have to put the blue one to the motor and the black one to the battery. So i have the negative wires messed up. I will go and resolder it to see if it works.
