3 RACING. HOW DOES IT STACK UP
 

I am looking at purchasing some 3racing bits and pieces.

But befor i spen my cash have a few questions.

1. Is there product quality or crap.

2. Does anybody in Australia sell it or dou you have to buy via the net.

3. If you do have to buy over the net how does their freight costs and delivery times etc stack up compared to the likes of tower etc.

Any other informaton that anybody has on them would be great

I've got a 3Racing Droop gauge (got second hand off someone) and some 3Racing parts for my Tamiya F103GT. The parts seem to be well built and high quality. Dunno about any Aussie distributors, usually get that stuff from www.rcmart.com

3 racing is no good.

stick to the japanese option brands. most of the jap brands are not sold ont he hong kong websites. you will have to get the parts through the japanese stores like pro shop or rc champ. it's definately worth the effort.

any moving part made by 3 racing is underpar. the static parts are ok, but i've seen better with the japanese brands.

The 3 Racing electric car parts for the TA05 seem pretty good. All the Jap stuff is made in China too lol

i got some 3 racing tools and they seem to be pretty good. have not broken any yet. i don't think it really matters what country they say its made in, as most of its prob made in china anyway.

I am actually looking at some specific bits for a ft tc4. C-Hubs, bumpers shock towers and possibly some of the bearing carriers. Are you sayin that the things like the shock towers are pretty good but the C-Hubs and bearing carriers are the parts that are underpar?

I have tried 3 racing universals for my kyosho and they wore quicker then I thought where the bearings rode and the knuckle developed a fair bit of slop, but they are probabaly about 1/2 price of kyosho so I suppose you get what you pay for.
Just bought some3 racing tools and they look fine had a chassis plate before and the quality was great to.

maybe, not sure. but the alloy quality is different with most japanese brands. they use 7075, instead of 6061 which is what the lesser brands use. also the japanese brands seem to have more development in how they are designed (for example kawahara, 5 star, square etc).

3 racing chassis are good, but again lack the below points.
1)development; as an example, the 3 racing chassis are noticably heavier
2) alloy quality; im not 100% sure with the chassis but i think it is 6061 like all other parts. i don't see why they would use a special alloy just for the chassis. 7075 is usually shinier. (not always though). some 7075 doesn't anodise well also, so thats why most brands use 6061 when they anodise.

i have a japanese brand 4mm chassis for my mtx4. and it weighs the same as a 3mm and it is stronger than a rock! i bent a skyline rear crossbrance into a Z shape (no joke) yet the chassis is in the same condition as when i first got it :weird: :eek:

i think Hobbies Australia is the importer for 3-Racing.. there stuff is ok.

Not my first choice, but if its a specific part only 3-racing makes, then go for it.

I bought a 3mm Turnbuckle Tuner from 3racing but it is actually 4mm. I also know someone else who had the same problem. The model number on the wrench is for the 3mm model, so the wrong product hasn't being placed in the wrong packaging either.

every part i brought for my tc4 was 3 racing.. i brought the alloy front and rear hubs and c hubs the lot i even purchased the 3 racing factory team conversion for my tc4. and it was great

Eventually I figured that they mean that it is a 4mm wrench for turning 3mm thread Turnbuckles. Different shops, manufacturers and their presumeably translators look at one thing in different ways.

So have you done any damage to any of these parts?

I am not the kind of driver who hits anything and everything, i have broken a few front and rear arms though.

More for the look factor but hoping the ally was a bit stronger to go with it if you know what i mean.

nevere broke a single thing.. i also got the 3 racing titianium drive shafts they were out damm quick but are really stong. :)

I have installed the alloy front steering blocks, 4deg castor blocks, and Titanium block carrier bushings, all have been very durable and are the only way to go if you want to run a front spool in your TC4. The 4deg castor blocks are a looser fit than the plastic part, but you can use thin motor shims if you want to tighten them up. The 3 racing graphite chassis upgrade kit is very high quality, however it does make the car rock solid and very aggressive (twitchy) on ashpalt tracks, would be awesome with foam tyres on carpet though.
