Eastern suburbs????
 

Is anyone out there interested in maybe starting up a social race venue in the Randwick, Maroubra ect ect area?? i can possibly get the space for a track, i just need some interest and possible numbers, help ect..:) :)

me and my mates dont live near there, but are willing to give it go if it starts up

You know that ill be in for sure when its run during university sessions!! Unsw carparks are good to race on.....its just that security doesnt like it......but now that I am a UNSW securoty guard things may change!!

Hey, Heffron Park! Thats where I first started racing! Two friends and I would get out there with our gas cars and run all day. We had the best fun. I'd be in if it was run during the week and I could get there after work or uni.

Are people thinking Electric, Nitro or whatever?

How far is heffron park from UNSW? Which bus do i take there and how long will it take?

it's not far only 10 min by bus i think no 391 or the bus that goes to bunerong road

Hi guys.. I live in Maroubra and i actually race at Northside Forestville which is past Chatswood cause theres no club in our area.. So this is really cool.. However, I've been to heffron as i dont live far away frm there and i race electrics, however the surface there just chews up ur tyres and get small rocks in your gears..

Any other venues.. I have heard some ppl of a night race there cars at Eastgardens Shopping centre.. Surface is much smoother there/. But again theres the security issue..

The eastgardens venue sounds good, i might do a recon this afternoon for a possible location there and i even might go for a chat with the centre management if i get the time...Anyways i'll keep you posted..

Nothing can be set up yet, i need to confirm a location and get some track setup equipment and that sort of gear, but as i said, i will keep everyone posted. As for a muck around day, i can try and organise something within the next 2-4 weeks...

Hey Al. Tait here. The Randwick area should be good, I can ask the security about using the washpoint area up the back. The only thing that would be a pain is the extensive sweep of the area to clear the small rocks out of the way.

howdy folks.... i run at Moorebank and Eastern Creek but I also go to Heffron Park and even Moore Park and run my RC... I was at Moore Park last weekend playing basketball but at the same time running my RC... but let me know if you need help... :nod:

Did anything end up happening with racing in the eastern suburbs? Living in the east can make it hard to get to races during the week. (i work on sundays).


Heffron park is a good space but it chews through tyres incredibly quickly and has alot of dirt/stones on it.

Yeh agreed that a track eastside would be awesome. However if this new track at Tempe takes off, then it is just a 15 minute journey across Gardeners Rd which is not a bad option either...

yeah that is a good location for people in the east.
