The only downer was that the 3rd fastest hot lap car was relegated to the B-final rather than in the A beating Cam... that's what I get for having shocking heats I guess. There's always next time

Hope every body enjoyed there day today, one of the bigger meets that we have had and finaly no rain, thanks to every body, hope you enjoyed the hot lap shoot out , any other ideas on variations in running the day would be good.
Well done to Yael and Liam , I think you both good PB's for the day.

Hi All,
Just a couple of notes regarding yesterdays meet and the format.
Hot Lap:
The qualifying rounds are still relevent for club members as you do infact get points for how you qualify, the hot lap dash was there to just add a bit of fun regarding starting order. Also, it does give those who maybe didn't have the best heat runs to get further up the grid, and ultimately it should change the final event order but allows people to drive under a different scenario. It's only the 2nd time we've done it so it's a work in progress although I do think it's a good idea to incorporate more in the future.
In regards to the bump start final, it was tough. it's the first time we've tried to put 11 people in the one race, and it unfortunately highlighted a bug in the software that meant it just ignored out race and continued on with the meet. I must stress THIS WAS IN NO WAY DOWN TO MARG'S OPERATION OF THE SOFTWARE BUT A BIG WITH THE SOFTWARE ITSELF. I know a few people were irritated by the split final but we were faced with no choice as the software was either going to ignore our race or split them in the ration it did. A little further background is that it seemed the software graded the final as a 7/4 split because thats how we ran the heats, but that needs to be looked into more, but is not something we could do on the run at the track. It's an awful number of people to have in a category, 11, and it just made it that much harder to manage.
Cheers

I don't believe it was stolen, I really think Tony could not remember where he put it so caused a whole lot of confusion with his, 'a dingo stole my transmitter,' so that all you young ones would do your darndest to locate it for him.
Poor Tony, CRAFT has got him.
Marg,

Another problem Tony discovered, not only was the transmitter stolen, just prior to his run for the Hot Lap some rotten scoundrel stole the fuel from his Bump start car.
Or is it just another case of CRAFT......I think he forgot to fuel up and thus caused his car to come to a grinding halt during the warm up lap.
Warwick, give Tony back his fuel you bad boy.
