The Acme Trooper is a 4wd 10th scale short course isn't it? That will be ok to run in novice.
You will need hard case 2S lipos though. Zippy and Turnigy batteries are fine just as long as they are hard case.

yes its a 4wd 10th scale sct. I actually run it on 3s 5000mah zippy hardcase lipos on it atm. It has the stock servo, stock motor which is 36-50 2080kv. I have upgraded the shocks to caldera ones. I also have upgraded the tyres to proline split six rims and jconcepts barcodes (blue) tyres. Using a HK 80a esc and a HK rx and tx.

So do I need to swap out the motor and esc for novice?

You can pretty much run what you like in Novice mate. You simply owe it to yourself (and others) to move up to stock or modified when you are ready.

Arrow Sun day

The weather forecast is looking good for Sunday. A possible late shower.
It will be good to have a run at St. Ives, it has been a while.

Brendon, There will be plenty of guys trackside to give you some advice. Just introduce yourself to the old guy with the beard.

Regards,
Waz.

Arrow Track Report

I had a look at the track this afternoon and it is all good, ready to race. It was damp but not too bad. It should be just right by SUN-day.

It will be good to catch up with you Chris, it has been a while.

See you Sunday.

Waz
