2003 Victorian Hornet Cup
The Hornet Cup is aimed at encouraging people to get involved in Off Road RC Club racing by participating in the Drivers Series in a class of their own.
Entry requirements
To be eligible to compete in the Hornet Cup, entrants must be new to racing or in their first year of racing radio control cars. The hornet cup is based around creating an even playing field for entry-level racers. In keeping with that theme experienced offroad/onroad/gas racers and people who have placed in the top 3 in a state or national event are not eligible to enter.
Technical regulations:Car Specifications
Car must be a Tamiya Super Hornet – No modifications to chassis allowed.
Stock Gear ratio to be used.
Original rims with any tyres.
Bearings are the only modification allowed.
Motor: .05 size 540 Johnson silver can motors are the only motors permitted.The motors may not be modified in any way.
Shock oil: any type, any weight
Speed control: electronic speedys are allowed.
Batteries: 7.2volt battery packs. No cells exceeding 2000 mah capacity.
Point score: Hornet Cup Drivers Series
There will be a total of 6 rounds held throughout the Year, your best 4 results will be used to calculate your Drivers Series points.
Presentation
Presentation will be at the Victorian Titles meeting.
Trophy’s will be awarded to the top 10 drivers for the series.
The winner of the Drivers Series will receive the Major Prize (donated by TOYWORLD SHEPPARTON) the latest Team Associated B4, 2wd Buggy.
Note: Minimum 3 entrants to run the class, drivers must run 4 rounds to be eligible for the prize.

Entries close 8:30am sharp on race day.
First round is at Knox on the 2nd of march
