Default INDOOR OFFROAD ELECTRIC CARPET NATIONALS

Hi just iinterested in finding out how manny people would be interested in attending an event of this nature, like what they have in England.

carpet, jumps, berms, ripples, massive grip.

Give me some feeback on your thoughts.

Also what you would like to see included, eg: Trophy Girls, international drivers, invitational drivers, cash prizes, Jump contest "at the end of the event haha" bbq dinners....

Thanks

Josh Pain

I would definately be interested in this, sounds sweet, hope you get this up and happening. Oh yeah a big jump contest would be good, but i think you would have to be hot favourite to take that out.

Thanks heaps,
Adam

Sounds like fun Josh. If you build it, they will come!

As a side note, I think we're all a bit narrow minded when it comes to 'off road' and our obsession with dirt. Given the issues we have with track maintenance, erosion etc I'm surprised there aren't any clubs (to my knowledge) using grass sections, cobbles, astro turf and other such surfaces. Would make tracks a lot more consistent, not to mention interesting to drive on.

Cheers,
Scotty P.

Painy,

If this event were to be held in NSW would we be using foam or rubber tires?

Seriously though, this could be good. Being indoor increases interstate entries by taking away the rain factor.

Count me in.

We already run offroad race meets on carpet...

It's supprisingly fun...
However, it is easier to break the cars.

The concensus seems to be pretty consistent in favour of such an event, sounds like a great idea.

This leads on from something i have been thinking about, what would people think of a permanent hard surface offroad track located in the western suburbs? keep plenty of rough stuff, so that it isnt just an onroad track with jumps.

hey guys, i thought this would generate some good interest.

Brad.. are you starting to turn back a little to open wheel.. i like it.

I permanent venue would be good.

This race will be in newcastle, inside a school hall or scout hall.

there will be no warmup event i would say a 3 day event, fri practice, sat 4wd and trucks , sun 2wd and mini.

yes cars can break easier.

i will give some more info in the next few days.
