What im in need of is an idea on a prgram for track planning as i have just started a moto x club here in west aus now i now this isnt relevent to what you guys do but ive been told one of the members may be able to help me with advice
or even a program to do the design with i have drawn up a basic design but would like to make it look a bit more professional to submit to a shire for approval

There is a great little program called track maker or track builder not sure exactly what it is called. It's real easy to use, the menu at the top is like a box of slot car track, you just pick the bits you want and assemble the track. Looks quite professional when finished. I just did a search for it but came up with a load of model train layout programs. Try again when I get home, just can't remember where I found it. P.S. just found these try them out for now, not the one I was thinking of but the same idea www.rcptrackbuilder.com or www.trackbuilder.com
