Default Possible 2019 ACT Indoor Titles

Hi Guys,

taking the temperature of people to see what the interest is in an ACT Indoor State Titles in August or September.

At this stage I'm thinking these classes:

TT - this is our 'home grown' TT classes. Basically Tamiya TT-02 with oil shocks, bearings and Torque motors.
21.5 - as per RCRA rules
1/12th Stock as per RCRA rules.
Mini - Tamiya FWD M-Chassis
Classic's - Pre 2001 Touring Cars

Control Tyre's - the three TC classes will run 'our control tyres'. Probably two sets at around $25.
1/12th Control Tyre's - This seems to have worked for ATS, what do people think? Control tyres so everyone is on the same tyre?
21.5 Motors - Would people like us to investigate running with the RCRA or XRS 21.5 control motors for this meeting (if you don't own one you will be able to hire one).
13.5 - We have tried 13.5 on our carpet with our control tyres and found the car lap at the same pace as the 21.5's, only with a lot more wheel spin. Is there any interest in running this class, either with lots of wheels spin or on foam tyres?

Let the discussion begin!!

I think the rules we have suggest 540, but were open to what people want.

Here's some thoughts on how the class might look. The ideas are unashamedly stolen from the Casso vintage concepts. The idea being that we bring out the cars that they were the first generation of Tourers. Ball diffs, one-ways and a chassis more flexible than a pollie's morals.

Cut-off: Dec 2001(?)
Motor: Any 27 turn brushed "stock" motor. First time around lets keep the racing close, speeds will be similar to 21.5 (until you get to a corner). It'll keep the speed down a bit which in-turn may save having to go on a treasure hunt for replacement parts.
If the class takes off, then we can look at going to a mod or even open mod (brushed)

Chassis mods and hop-ups: Any period correct mod
ESC: Open
Batteries: 7.4 LiPO or NiMH
Tyres: Let's go with Rubber because people may struggle to find foams(?)
Radio gear: Std rules apply. 2.4/AM/FM
Body shells that look a bit like real cars (kit/old protoform/frewer and yes there will be a lot of Stratos (narrow VTA?). Single colour shell will be allowed, but viewed with disdain.
Min weight: 1400g (keeping it a bit fair for the Tamiyas)

The non-exhaustive chassis list
(happy to add more if you can prove it existed in 2001, but to get the numbers flexibility should be the key here and its acknowledged some of these chassis had multiple variations)

Losi Street Weapon/XXX-S
Associated TC3/ Dual Sport (2WD but it'd be cool seeing one run!)
Tamiya TA01/2/3/4 TB01 Evo
Corrally C4/C4.1
Schumacher SST2000
HPI RS4 Pro/ II/ III
Xray T1
Express Road Runner
Tenth Tech T10
Hong Nor OB4
Kyosho TF2/3/4(?)
Yokomo YR4/M/M2 (need to talk to Waz about which models would fit)
Traxxas 4 Tec
Onfa z10
FSR Bullet
Tenth Technology Streetwise
Kawada SV10
CEN GX1
Colt 10?
