LRP ESC Automatic- Reverse not working
 

got my new LRP Automatic Pro Reverse ESC today I have ran 2 batteries on it already on, the second battery it just suddering stop going in reverse :mad: when I do it just does the normal green display and at full power no light in the manual it says if there is no reverse or brake the pinion or gear ratio is to big the esc was a bit hot so im leaving it to cool off I tried it again and it still does not work why is this happening? I have a 13 turn motor and I have tried a stock motor and still not working.

What was the timing set for your 13 turn?
Was it set to zero degrees or was it advanced?
stock motors are 24 degree advanced.
Johnson 540 motors should be OK.

I had heard that motors with advanced timing and esc with reverese don't mix.
if this is correct you may have stuffed it.

I've mostly always used esc with forward and brake only so I'm not sure personally, it's just something someone told me once.

I did not touch the timing

the timming of the motor shouldnt really have an effect on the speed control. it just means that a motor with the timing advanced, which is nearly all motors, isnt going to be as fast in reverse. reset the speedy and try again

how do I reset it? there is no buttons

I'm returning it under warranty.

This is crap I got a new one yesterday and today it has stuffed up again :flaming: all I did was I went in reverse against the wall in the shed then the reverse stop working,LRP must be a shit brand or I have very bad luck.
the buggie was running for about 20 seconds.

You dont have a shottky (spelling) Diode on the motor do you, a small black tube with a silver band around it?
