Which Belt Drive?

Which Belt Drive?
Hi guys, I'm just after some input. I was wondering what you guys could tell me about the high-end belt drives and which one to recommend? I'm selling my TB Evo IV and was looking at the TRF415MSX, HB Cyclone, Xray T2? FK'06?, Yokomo BD, Kawada V-10 Sigma2, Losi JRXS, and the team tech MY05.
Some input on mainly the Xrays, the Yokomo, the Cyclone and the 415MSX would be much appreciated. I really only have a budget of about $600 to spend so that should come into account too i suppose.
Thanks
Tony

have a look at the new TOP racing car as well, it will be retailing for under $600 as well, and will available in the next 2 weeks.

the downside to the msx is;
you need to upgrade the ball cups, and some spares are needed as it breaks arms and stuff easy due to the hard compound plastic
the downside to the cyclone is;
you need to buy toe blocks for it
the downside to the xray is;
it has a weird rear toe issue. possibly fixed in new kits
usa version and uk version are different. don't get the wrong one. uk has a oneway, usa has two diffs no oneway.
some people say it tweeks. didn't experience it myself....yet.
the downside to the BD is;
not sure, i think it needs toe blocks as well though. never owned one though. looks nice.
i wouldn't bother with the rest as the parts are hard to get, and they are not popular with racers, therefore it is harder to get info on setups.

ANY current TC will work fine - it's usually the parts availability and team support that makes the difference.
ALL of the current TC's have good AND bad points, I don't agree at all with what VWO said about downsides of each car mentioned but I won't correct him as it's pointless - NO car is perfect.
XRay, Schumacher, HPI, and Losi would be the best supported brands in Australia, in terms of parts availablility and driver support.
The other brands are fine too, but in some cases you might have to be prepared to get parts overseas.
And with all brands - help can usually be found on this and other rc forums

i'm talking about NSW based cars. this is only from what i have seen at my local tracks.
also i forgot to mention corrally, give this one a go as well.
again, only my opinion. out of the cars you listed ONLY (ie Kawada V-10 Sigma2, Losi JRXS, and the team tech MY05.) i wouldn't bother with these i put in brackets. not because they suck, but because almost no one drives them, hence poor setup support from other racers.
the losi seems dead anyway, if it was a killer car the distributor would be racing them, or at least people at the track (ie bandwagon jumpers like me ) would of owned one

All of my arrows are currently pointed towards the 415MSX, which i can get for $568AUD shipped, does anyone know of anywhere I can get it for cheaper or with better value?

I assume that these belt drive cars are more prone to rocks and debris in their gears than say an evo 4 or similar type shaft?

looks like u might need to look into the facts a little!
The distributor does race them do you even know who they are??? CMC are NOT the distributor for losi anymore and haven't been for quite a while! The distributor are Model Flight and they do support/race the car.
That said i still am not keen on the JRXS.

I have had no issues with stones in gears with my 415s.
