Default Anywhere in Sydney to watch F1 Live via Satelite??

Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere where you can watch the Formula 1 LIVE via Satelite, particularly for qualifying???? I'm most likely going to be in Sydney on the same weekend when the Bahrain GP is on and its the first F1GP of the year, and with the new qualifying format being a knockout system, I REALLY want to see it before it gets to Melbourne, rather then just hear about it. In Melbourne we have a bar which has a satelite link for qualifying and the races, so I hope there is something similiar in Sydney.

Any help would be great!

*cough*BK*cough*

He also said "The only thing good is the freeway heading back to NSW"

Anyway, most if not of the F1 races from last year where actually broadcast live but in stupid times.

Nah, almost all are delayed feeds from Europe. This one is in Bahrain though, so time zones are a bit more civilised I think. The qualifying is never broadcast at all on Ch10, and thats what I want to see the most. I'll watch the race at my brothers place in Homebush.

I think Bahrain is about 6 hours behind us, (give or take an hour for daylight savings) so the race will start around 8pm our time. Not sure of any places where you could watch it live, apart from the live timing on the net, which I find is pretty good although, there's no vision, just timing and commentary.

Basically all the standard European rounds start at 10pm our time, after big brother runs overtime, and Cromly and Bill Woods flap their gums about the same stuff as they've covered in rpm earlier that day, the race we get is over an hour behind, pretty poor in my books

I'd love to see Qualifying and the GP2 race broadcast, but I can't see it happening

My friend paid about $400 for a satellite package and we get to watch all practice, qualifying and races.

F1 Nut probably a more accurate term!

Have you got any details on the satelite system? If it cost $400 for that, I'd do it for sure!!

I will see if I can get some info for you. If not, just do what I do, watch F1 Live timing and use your imagination!

Thanks mate, much appreciated.

Currently I do what you do, and its good, but not as good as pure coverage.

I particularly like watching the GPs when they are REALLY live on TV and watch the live timing, cause you can follow the races so much more, split times, etc.

Yeah, I dont think channel 10 do 100% live besides the Aussie GP. Every time I check live timing during a "live" race, its usually 10-15mins ahead.

There used to be a few sites on the net which showed full replays of qualifying etc, but FIA made them stop. Also, you can grab all the races on torrents just incase you miss something

I record all the races on my digital TV tuner card. But yeh, at the Aussie GP I'm actually at the track, Brabham stand turns 1+2 every year. Awesome spot.

The japanese and chinese rounds are usually 100% Live, so thats when I break out the laptop and check out the timing too.
