I'll check with Thomas.

Was it 2wd mod and 4wd mod you were entering?

Any chance of making 4wd stock sport tune motor, may bring more entries in, otherwise will run mod.
Just belt driven 4wd won't be too fast (exciting) with silver can.

Just chose a motor for stock that I assumed most would have.

I will admit I am only getting into this Vintage scene so not sure about the potential performance difference between silver can and sports tuned.

Thinking will like to leave it as is at present and see how entries proceed.
Mod can run any motor but I understand that some will take this to an extreme. Although not sure if the St Ives surface and layout will let mad motors really show.
Meanwhile will check with Mikey for more technical advice re if the speed would be greatly different in a 4wd.

Agreed, leave it, there's not a huge amount to choose between the speeds of the motors, and we're looking to bring a faster motor in for classic class next year to create a bigger speed difference

I'm in mod just as a chance to run a bit more power in the car that i ordinarily wouldn't but I'll move the 4wd over to stock should we need to balance the numbers up a bit as we get closer to the event

There's some notables missing like bormac who said he was coming so don't worry

McCheers
