2017 Castle Hill Off Road Vintage Festival 25 & 26 Nov
#62
Hi Guys,
so now that I've entered my first vintage meeting I figured I'd better get a car sorted.
I've started with a Losi XX Kinwald 2WD.
It's a but, um... rough but it's coming up pretty well, I do need some links attach directly to the kingpins rather than the c-hub.
The only manual I can find shows a conventional front end and does not help me with getting part numbers for these king pins.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has a set of these king pins, or at least a part number I can go looking for...
Also any recommendations on where I can course some of these parts from replacement parts though...
Front arm, gear cover, transmission casing and king pins.
This car seems to have a revised front end (see pic) where the suspension would be most helpful

Love the XX's!! The king pin ball stud was an optional setup Kinwald helped sort out, he liked it on certain track conditions etc.
I have a set nip i think if you're looking for one
Cant wait to see your car go

Too clever mate!! I'll actually take a note of that as a an idea for future years
Actually this year, its a cooler bag with the festival logo on it, the hope being that the weather will be so wonderful that we'll all need our drinks in the cooler bags
Cheers and take care mate

Guys, as always, we like to plug our sponsors when we can
Hobbyking are once again supporting this event and the castle hill club, obviously with the fantastic tents that are a favourite amongst the drivers allowing for a lot of people to get together to help create a good atmosphere
They're also putting up some great prizes for the raffles, more details to follow but we're looking at some Tamiya kits, chargers, batteries, tools plus other cool stuff, so get your cash ready, this will be a good one!
Cheers

Quick announcement regarding the cooler bags, the order we put through is for 50 bags, so as an added incentive to get your entries in, the first 50 individuals lock in a bag. last year we had 45 people amassing 117 entries, up from 39 people totalling 110 entries, so its not impossible we'll go over 50 drivers this year so dont miss out!

New Sponsor announcement!!
Guys I'm stoked to announce that Penguin RC bodies are sponsoring 2 awards this year. As many of you know, Penguin (Steve Haskins) makes a lot of great repro bodies that help keep our vintage cars looking sweet. here's the ebay link to find the bodies for sale https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/haskins2004
The winner of the MVP will receive a free body set from Penguin and the second body set will be one of the raffle prizes you can pick from if you're lucky enough to be drawn
Cheers
