More the merrier, can't wait for this.
Looking through the entry list, what a great variety of cars.
Weak link racing, what a team, a team full of Tamiya's and quality ones at that.
You guys are my sentimental favourites!
Go Tamiya! Hahaha.

I'm hoping we get a lot more footage this year, we'd only need a few static cams on tripods around the track and we could get a lot of the race

I think as well as cameras, some of us need to bring personal protection after some of the threats that have been bandied around 😃

Luckily for me I have Mick Taylor on my team😉

Default TEAM GO DOWN SOUTH RACING

Ok, its official. The Southern Highlands guys have come up with a name thats a little more interesting. Now known as "Go Down South Racing" we can also announce our line up of cars and drivers:

David Gynn - Cougar 2000
Scott Hogan - RC10T2
Michael Harlow - Losi JRX - 5 link
David Matthews - Egress

This lands us right on our 15.5 cap and not a 1.5 points car in sight! Lets go racing dudes!

Beware all Teams in the Vintage Enduro. The Codgers are going to sneak around the pits before the race and let the air out of the tyres in all the RC cars. The Codgers should be able to gain an advantage in doing this. Did you find your car Steve?? and why did you put your head on a stick????

if someone has a camera tripod of some sort that could hold an iPhone, there is potential to broadcast some of the race LIVE via Periscope

its a power hungry app so if we ran power to a phone, could film a fair bit LIVE. its also a little data hungry but im happy to eat up a good portion of my 10gb per month if someone else wants to donate some mobile data to the cause.

I'm definitely happy to donate some data, I should have 12gb with my rollover, and I have a 2s lipo to usb converter I can hook up to a battery to top up your phone during the race

Also guys, we're nominating the club meeting on the 19th of feb as having a vintage class, so if you want to test out an enduro runner or give another of the fleet a run, please come down, 2wd or 4wd with the grey endbell 540 johnson motor

Cheers

Mikey

Never Dave, Its been very amusing seeing yours and others trash talk in here. This race is being run in the right spirit!

On a sad note guys we're going to not run the Blitzer enduro this year, we dont have enough entrants and i've had to send the trophy order off. Entry fee will drop to $25 per driver

I'll update the morning schedule in the first post soon, there wont be much change in the time line but open practise will be available, i'll put a drivers meeting time in there also

I'll talk to Rob but we might be able to sneak in a bbq before the race so we're not all starving at the end of the race

One thing i will also need to change given the direction of the track this year is where cars exit and enter the track. It's likely that we'll have cars exiting the track at turn 1 after the loop and stage up to enter the track at turn 3, as always, caution must be used when entering the track and cars already on the track have right of way

Cheers

Mikey
