MRCCR is proud to announce the date for this years
2015 AARCMCC Australian IC Onroad Championships
from the 9th till the 11th of October.

Track Open for practice on the 7th - 8th October with the official event starting on Friday 9th of October.

Track Location: Hardy St, Lilydale, Victoria

Accommodation at Lilydale.

Mention that you are booking to compete at the MODEL CAR RACING event.

*Early Booking is essential to guarantee your accommodation as space is limited

$110 for the first class entered (Sanctioned Classes) and $40 per additional class.
$ 90 for the GT class (Non Sanction) if not entered as a second class with the Sanctioned Classes.

Really looking forward to driving (getting out of the way:)) Lilydale again...awesome track with a super friendly atmosphere. ..gold!

Reason for our Date at this years Nationals
 

Hi All,

We understand that it would have been ideal to have this event on the first weekend of October, however the
MRCCR club has always only been able to run club days, state and nationals events on the 2nd and 4th week of each month.
(Our least terms are strict on these dates) Last Nationals held at MRCCR was run on the 4th week of October.

The plus site is, the first week of October, being school holidays combined with various wine festivals in the Yarra Valley wine region,
accommodation would be extremely hard to get by now and cost is much higher.

I have just been in contact with our official Motel for this years national the Lilydale Motor inn whom have been kind enough apply
a 10% discount when booking and mentioning that you will be competing at this years Model Car Racing event.

Contact details are on the first post. I will have further details and online entry up as soon as possible. It is important competitors start
booking their accommodation to guarantee your rooms now.

(The two things we can't control is the weather and accommodation close to the track when all rooms are booked out)

So what's the news on having a class for Gt Please?

I will include GT class in our paper and online entries. This will be completed
shortly. As long as we get a respectable number of entries, we don't see why
this will be a problem as there is no pull start class running any more.

What is the qualifying format going to be? Best single round or points based?

I'm hoping for points based like the VIC titles, puts the 'Elite' drivers on the track for more rounds.
Less beers, more accurate maintenance. Can't wait to get back across there, feels strange not travelling as much as I became used to last year.

Hey Snowy, we will be running the standard format, rocket round style with top 4
positions going straight into the mains. Perhaps at the AGM meeting we could discuss
the other format for clubs to vote on the points system moving forward.

Sounds good Ricky, motels at the Lilydale Inn are filling fast. We are all looking
forward this event. It will be a blast.....
