At last years Mallee, I was getting easy 2-3 runs out of each tyre in mod. The tyre wear is generally really good as the surface is not a sugared track.

I ran:
- Flip Outs in Q1
- Blue 3Ds in Q2 and Q3
- Blue Bar Codes in the finals

Generally I run new tyres on my 2wd and then put them onto the 4wd. In practice, my tyres were not wearing fast at all.

We ran Holeshot V2s at the 2011 Vics and they were good for several runs in mod, but that was a slightly different surface.

Hope this helps.

Ray

Thanks Ray, this is all true...

the track at this stage will NOT be treated with any sugar like treatments.. and tyre wear will be low, early in the day I would think Proline Holeshot v2, AKA impact, Jconcepts 3D, and then by lunch or just after the track should become a bar style tyre choice.. we haven't had rain for three months...although it is raining here today, lets hope the weather is kind to us in May.

As this is a "warm up" meet for the vics. Will there be any holeshots for sale?

I'm sure many of the Australian hobby stores would have holeshots either in stock, or could be ordered in...
RAB, Metro, Traction, RCRS, just to name a few

No the club won't have any forsale at Mallee Madness, being a fairly common tyre, as OldSkool said they should be easy to source from your local Hobby Store
