gearing is had to get if you dont have the correct pinions ie 0.4 0.6 ect all these old girls use differant pitch ect

Absolutely not an issue at all mate.
Myself and my missus have both travelled this year to Tassie, and Queensland for racing, along with many airline trips last year. Both of us carried our LiPo's in our onboard luggage contained in their LiPo safe bags. It is also advisable to remove the LiPo from your transmitter and put it in the LiPo safe bags your packs are too.

I've had security scan staff question what it is on a few occasions, but once informed, they have no worries with it at all.

Get on that plane mate, pack the gear and get out of the local racing scene and enjoy all that we have on offer!!

[edit] I will say too, that the Casso lads put on one of the best meetings of the year. Period.
No nationals, state titles, or series round has quite the feeling of the festival! ...and after all, what other event hands out club suvineer bottle openers at lunch time the first day as a welcome gift!!! (hey Baggz!)
