The serpent tour event isn't a high priority for most electric racers (or not even on the radar), most of the guys that do challenge cup do so because its an easy one day event and enjoy the club atmosphere. No offense to the organisers but this event has none of that.

To add to what Beth said (and please take this as the consturctive criticism it is meant as, please):

The largest EP events are the ones held at clubs that have a large EP racing membership. Moorebank needs to build its EP membership to draw large crowds for its EP races.

I know that EP only meets have been tried with limited success of late, and that they're a bit off the radar now. I believe this is because these meetings have been targeted at the wrong group. Established racers don't switch clubs much, and do so much racing already that adding more isn't that appealing.

Moorebank, by virtue of its huge track and grass infields is well placed to cater for all the bashers who are running around with 9 turn brushless motors. They need to hit the shops with flyers and promote a run-what-you-brung novice class. And they need to do that relentlessly for 6 months. Then the numbers will come. In a year they'll have a solid EP arm of the club, and then people will start to come for the big meets.

Understood but thats not what this meeting is about in regards to memberships, I dont think, The meeting is to run ELECTRIC and NITRO (regardless of location or track), is there anyother track that can cater for this kind of event seeing NITROS are NITROS and ELECTRICS are ELECTRICS, It is usally one or the other dedicated IC or EP class for that track.

I've never run electric on road in Sydney so I dont know what tracks are around.

Anyway it is a shame that these kind of events dont kick off, unfortunatly it's the organisers that loose out, with no backing from racers, which in turn make them think is it worth it next year thats not what I would like to see happen.

Anyway I'll enjoy my racing at the SERPENT TOUR meet.

Looking forward to the weekend!!! Is it too late to enter a second class?
I was going to try and just concentrate on 1/8 but it would be more fun to race something else as we'll
I could race ep mod if the class is still running or F1.
With f1 what motors are everybody running? Is it restricted?
Also are normal 1/10 tourer foam tyres allowed on ep mod?

We will also run live timing via myrcm (I'm not going to try to imbed the link)

And results will post up as completed.

The event should show up online tomorrow morning when I start building the heats etc.
