Default What's the Sensorless Equivalent of 21.5?

As the title says. Imagine you have a guy with a sensorless ESC who doesn't want to spend much, just wants a motor to run in Sportsman at club level. What motors are out there that are just a little slower than a 21.5 blinky set-up?

Generally we're happy with anything in Sportsman that doesn't outperform 21.5 blinky. Sometimes we turn the throttle down, but ideally you want to avoid having to do that.

In case everyone is wondering why I'm asking, I had a shop ring me today wanting to know what they could sell someone that would be alright for our Sportsman class. I gave the usual answers, but they wanted to sell them a sensorless motor (maybe that's what the customer wanted, I don't know).

Because it was a shop asking I couldn't just say Hobby King make a cheap 21.5 set-up (I don't think they stock Speed Passion either).

In the end I just said, sell them the slowest motor you've got, and we'll turn down the throttle if we have to. But I'd like to be better prepared next time.

Yes, that's what I get for having 2 windows open at once and not paying close enough attention.

Don't post here. I'll duplicate the thread in the other section.
