Default Feed back for W.A state titles 1-3 Nov 1/8th

hey guys we are looking for some feedback on a format for the W.A state titles for 1/8th buggy, we are trying to cator for the interstate guys wanting as many of you to come.
we are looking at having a twilight race, starting late on friday at 1pm giving everyone time to travel in the morning most flights can be here bye 10am

friday 1pm - 10.30pm
2x practice rounds for buggy and truggy
4x rounds truggy
2x buggy rounds

saturday
1x truggy round
3x buggy rounds
lower finals buggy till the D main
running all truggy finals finishing at 10.30pm roughly.

Sunday
8.30am start 1pm finnish
running ABCD finals for buggy

flight home mostly leave from about 3-4pm on sunday.

we want to know if we ran something along these lines if people would be more likely to come to our event. they are some big days but we want more interstate people to come every year , the lighting we have is very good and much like driving in daylight..

any feedback would be appreciated

That would clash with the scheduled month of the Vic State Titles. You need to keep it in September or look at changing months with Victoria completely

Calendar says October 18th-20th? I've already booked leave for that weekend

Edit: In terms of the schedule, I think its great as long as the finish time is set in stone.

But moving it within 2 weeks of another 1/8th event will compromise that events attendance.

In regards to the schedule it sounds good.

But the date change will need to run through aarcmcc. If an internal clash is the problem and people are already booking time off it may be worth looking at changing months with Victoria to keep the 1/8th events split as well.

yes guys the date has changed due to a miss under standing between aarcmcc codes, it was on the same weekend as the WA state titles for
1/10th electric, and we wont be competing against each other.

the dates are locked in 1st, 2nd and 3rd of November this has all been sorrted with AARCMCC , we are sorry for the date change and trying to give everybody as much time to change time off ect. hate the game not the player out of our hands . just trying to make the best of it.

also on the format there would be a much later start for saturday 10.30am ish for a sleep in.

Alan probably have a talk to jarred before commenting too much on the thread about dates, this has been spoken with him , i think the vic dates are being shifted too. hopefully next year there can be a little better communication between the codes and we wont have to move race dates.

definatly theWA STATES ARE ON THE 1st , 2nd and 3rd of November.

Great forward thinking by the club to put the schedule out now and get feedback.

Hopefully the AARCMCC Committee can get together with the state delegates later this year and sort out the dates for next years Nats and state titles, and publish them this year!

I hope NSW states finish by 2-3pm on the Sunday to allow interstater's time to travel back to Sydney in time to catch their flights home.

Format looks great and not getting the midnight flight back to Sydney and going straight to work would be brilliant!

The date change was unfortunate and highlighted that the IC Offroad section has their stuff together whilst some of the other sections have some room for improvement.

Having the calendar together early was the goal for this year - we were aiming for September 2012. What becomes very quickly apparent is that a lot of the decisions are outside of the control of the executive and delegates. Clubs have dates they can and can't do, other sections have no idea what they are doing and worse than that have almost no ability to influence clubs within their section. Trying to navigate this minefield is extremely time consuming and I can only acknowledge the huge number of hours Jarrod spent on the phone trying to make it all work.

What gap will there be between races for those who bump? The cars will need to be scruitineered then maybe some minor maintenance or a check over..
Could probably ask the same question for truggy too...

Thumbs up

Sounds like a good idea, But as mickos has said how much time between heats for bump ups and what not. Also good on the club an aarcmcc for getting the dates situation sorted so soon.

yeh we learnt this from last year, we didnt allow enough time between races and time got away.
it would look like this, to my knowledge all lower finals are 20mins except for the B main is half hour. (i could be wrong)
D= 8.30am C=9.30am B=10.30am A=12.00
that should give people roughly 25-30mins to get there cars ready after they come out of scrutineering, i dont think any club could run any more than that it would take forever to run. if people know the program to start with it shouldnt be a problem.
on the saturday it would be roughly the same except for when we run the buggy lower finals between the truggies. they would be straight away after each other.
saturdays format would depend on numbers.
