The track will be open on Thursday for all non local drivers!!

So for example you live in Rockhampton you are able to practice on the Thursady!!

The Thursday open practice is so everyone that is a non local will have time to get there cars dialed!!

Just throwing this out there... Are the tyres only going to be allowed to be purchased from the club? Or can people bring their own spec tyre? If people can bring their own, how is the compound going to be policed?

Also, are the rim & insert to be proline spec aswell?

savagesam 04-27-2013 04:29 AM

This is awsome news guys, count me in thats for sure, just need to work out which car to bring to the event, if i only bring the truggy i can video most of the buggy action, either way its great news for australian racing.

How is the track on wear Mark, need to work out how many sets of tyres i need.

Hi Shane,

You are able to purchase your tires anywhere you want. However, you must use a Proline M3 Blockade and a Proline rim, any brand of foam can be used.

The only other condition is we (the organisers) must be able to see the M3 marking on the tires you provide.

Hi Sam,

At this point we believe that you would only need 3 sets for Buggy (2 for Qualifying and 1 set for the Mains). For Truggy we believe that 2 sets for the event will pull it up.

The track is very easy on tire wear.

Cheers

Mark
