Hi guys,

I never raced at boronia before, so can someone please:
  • Post a layout of track that will be used for this event
  • Confirm that the mylaps Rc4 (pure) transponders will work at the track

Thanks

Damian Andrews 02-12-2013 12:49 PM

All Mylaps transponders will work at BRCCC and most likely non mylaps transponders as the BRCCC has kept the decoder firmware to an earlier version.

Track layout being prepared and will be posted soon.

MyLaps Pure require the new Firmware to work. The MyLaps hybrid works all all systems.

We will check the system and confirm exactly which firmware is being used and what transponders this will work with. Will post this information shortly.

Attached is picture of the new BRCCC track layout.

Also we have upgraded most of the track barriers to softer walls to reduce damage to cars.

We have been racing this new configuration for 4 weeks now and everyone loves it. It's both fast and challenging.

If the latest ("Pure") MyLaps transponders work, then it is almost guaranteed that the MRT ones won't.

The black after market transponders. The ones that No longer work if you are running the new firmware on the decoder.
If you haven't updated the firmware then not all MyLaps transponders will work and the MRT will.

These things. Probably used by at least a third of people racing.

There was a whole thread discussing this issue, but this post sums up the commonly understood state of affairs:

I believe the Templestowe Masters faced this issue and suggested club transponders for anyone with an MRT.
