2013 AARCMCC AKA Australia 10th EP Off Road Tasmanian Titles – 23/24 Feb

Goodwood Off-Road Model Car Club Inc. is proud to announce the first ever AARCMCC sanctioned state titles for 10th EP off road in Tasmania. This event will score points towards the IFMAR qualifying for 2WD and 4WD mod and will be a great warm up for the Nationals. It will also see the introduction of 2WD Short Course Truck as a sanctioned class and the new 10.5T motor format for Stadium Truck. Please note you will also have to fill out a code of conduct form and present to scrutineering with your car, without this form completed and returned to the club you will not be allowed to compete.

If you haven’t seen Tasmania before, it would be a great time to bring the family over and have a look around after the event. If you bring your car on the boat it is a 3 hour drive south to Hobart. You can also fly direct to Hobart for as little as $170 return from Melbourne, with a 20-25 minute drive from the airport to the track. You can find more details on the entry form and we’ll provide more info as it comes to hand.

Entries Close: 8th February

Friday 22 Feb: Open Practice until 4pm
Saturday 23 Feb: 2WD Stock, 2WD Mod, Stadium Truck
Sunday 24 Feb: 4WD Stock, 4WD Mod, Short Course Truck

Control Tyres: AKA Rebars SS for all driven wheels (2WD, 4WD and Short Course Truck). Stadium Truck is open tyres.

Great work guys, I'm there.......

BTW, I have never seen a more comprehensive entry form in my history of my racing. Great work. Love the "other" attractions section, can't see what's more important than Rc?

Good to see you'll be coming down for this one. Not really my local track but close enough :)

How long will you be down for. If you catch the boat, should spend a day or two in Launceston. A few good tourist things up here haha. We should have the new indoor location up and running as well. Could sneak in a practice

Consider it done, I know Amy is keen on seeing some sights

As most mainlanders have never visited the Goodwood track can you give us an idea of what tire wear is like?

john watkins 12-20-2012 04:09 PM

Hey Alex, any photos or video of the track?

AARCMCC list of approved speed controllers plus ROAR list.

AARCMCC approved speed controllers includes the ROAR list under the regulations. The AARCMCC list itself can be thought of as a supplemental list, in the same way there is a supplemental list of approved motors within the regulations.

I know that but on the supplementary list there is no referenence to the roar list. You have to go to page 34 of the AARCMCC rule book to find it.
I was just pointing it out for others to avoid confusion.

When conditions are right the track gets a pretty good blue groove happening and can make it harder on tyres

stinky cheese 12-21-2012 12:20 PM

OK.
Some more mainlander questions. Will tables chairs marquee and power leads be supplied for people flying in.
Thanks.

ajj 12-21-2012 04:53 PM

We'll have tables, chairs and marquee for mainlanders :D Will organise some power leads also.

The track will be prepared similar to what you see in these photos. It's quite smooth and grips up nicely. I actually find my Keilor set up works fairly well here. There will also be more features added before the Titles.
