Dan,

thats a good question. Are there Foam tyres avaialble for F1? Do the F1 drivers want to run on Foam or Rubber?

Yes there are F1 foams. They were quicker than rubber at much more and have now been banned at SMA to make it a more even playing field. Do the rubber tyres work on the rug?

Dan, with your skill, anything will work!

Better go with foam, rubber on direct drive won't work too well as you can't use traction compound on the carpet we race on.

Make sure you take spare chassis with you.

Team BMI already booked accommodations for this event in April.

Hard to tell as no one races the F1's here. We run TC's with 21.5's on rubbers and Mini's on rubbers. Typically the style of tyres that work are a treaded radial style of tyre. I ran a set of Sorex 24's last week on a TC with an unboosted 10.5 and while waaay off the pace is was both drivable and resonalby consistent.

For the sake of having good racing I would recomend going with Foams but will allow the F1 masses to make the call.

In the US they run rubbers on carpet..

I don't mind either way... would be better if everyone ran on rubber tires so its even.

What about motor? 21.5 blinkie?

Considering we don't have any 540 Rules in our rule book, what are the details? Is it 540 silvercan only, or will this be the 21.5 Blinky class?

Spec Touring Car is the offical name, will correct my post. In reality this is the 21.5 Blinky class that the club computer calls '540'.
