Hi Ajj
If it was me coming up from tassie i'd be flying into the gold coast and booking a room at burghleigh heads and making a holiday out of the trip the chargers track is only a 1h and 10 min run ( the gold coast track is 10 mins away aswell)from there i know it seams a long way but it's all high way travell theres only one problem with that weekend in ipswich and thats the winter nationals (drags)are held at willowbank and a lot of ipswich accomadation is already booked we'll be checking before we put a list up. The chargers crew have just laid a new layout for the states with the biggest mogal i've ever seen this will be a great weekend

cheers
David

Just wanted to confirm that snipers will be the control tyre for the front on Pro2 short course, not open as stated in ORRCA rules?
Logic would say that 2wd SC and 2wd buggy would have the same regs regarding tyres?
3.0 Must use Short Course Truck wheels and tyres, no 1/8th adapters or wheels and tyres.
Rear tyres are controlled and listed on the entry form.

nope it would be as per Australian titles all SCT tyres front and rear to be snipers soft compound mate

its ok they are a good tyre and work better then most other front tyres anyway

I just wanna use up all those front tyres you gave me!

Also, I was reading the ORRCA rules re: short course and it states no lipos over 6000 mah. I was going to get some 6500's for the Losi 4wd but might have to go smaller if this is the case.
BTW the ORRCA rules seem to only be for 2wd...

Even more interesting is that it doesn't say the 2WD SCTs have to be RWD. I can't wait to see the FWDs mix it with the regular SCTs.

I thought the lipo rule got raised but I am not sure

In saying that races are only 5 minutes long anyway so any of the higher mah lipos that are roar approved will be fine mate

No rules yet in ORRCA as its only just been approved as a class this year as long as they have 8 or more people which I am pretty sure that will be got easy with entries

Default pro2 sct

Guys regarding pro2 sct front tyres it will be run as per orrcca rules that is open front tyres committee decision. I will follow up on the battery limit as I ran 6800 at the nats with no problems and don't want to buy new batteries yet.
Cheers
