Default Short Course Championships & the Ryde Open - 28th & 29th of January

On January 28th and 29th the Ryde Open and Short Course Championships are on again and like last year's event this will be an awesome weekend of go fast buggies and close quarter short course racing. Last year's event was one of the biggest turn-outs we've seen at Ryde and this year is looking to be the same again.

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept of the Ryde Open it's basically the same as a normal buggy meet except that you are able to race with whatever motor you think is best suited to the track and your style. So if you think you're most competitive with a 2.5T motor with boost in a 2WD buggy then go for it, but in the same race there might be someone running a 21.5T with now boost because they think that slow and steady wins the day, it's up to you. This was a great format last year and saw some really interesting results in all the classes.

The Short Course Championships is the opportunity for all the SCT drivers out there to have their own dedicated day of SCT racing; all the classes are catered for Pro-2 (10.5 blinky mode and 13.5 boosted), Pro-2 Mod (put whatever you want in there), Pro-4 (4WD SCT) and Box Stock for anyone who got a RTR SCT for Xmas and wants to give it some race time before they start changing over all the electronics. This was a huge day last year with drivers coming from all over the place and really helps to show the popularity of this booming class.

So if you've been aching for a bit of race time over the holidays you've now got a whole weekend to satisfy your urge.

For more information go to: http://www.sydneyrc.com/2011/Downloa...yde%20Open.pdf and download the rules and entry form.

See you all there on the weekend of January.

Quick update guys.

There will also be prizes and a raffle on offer. We've yet to finalise the details, but what I can confirm is a DEX210 kit will be up for grabs.

That's not to say that it will be only thing up for grabs..

Just to clarify. The DEX210 will be part of a raffle not a podium prize.. so every one is in with a chance. How deep your pockets are will determine on the odds you get :P
