Thanks. Looks like the big jump just got more technical. Hmm, challenging.

It's not what it appears. It is actually a step up in the other direction so no longer a crossover.
So it should be easier as something that far away from the stand shouldn't be too technical.

When I read "it's not what it appears" my first reaction was how cool would it be to build an Escher like optical illusion into a track.

That would be fun, not good for my lap times though as I would lose my car.

I was thinking of a track like this:

But I'm a bit one sided. Gotta get that one on a t-shirt eh Daniel.

I'm serious about the t-shirt, I reckon I could sell a few to the engineers at work and maybe hang out in front of the maths depart at Mac Uni and make a few hundred in a day.

I wanted "I survived Super Nova 1987A" on a t-shirt but no one else got it.

Had a look at the track today about midday and we certainly could have run a meet there this afternoon, so if the weather is like it is today we will definitely be running this weekend. The tack was soft with a couple of small puddles but nothing that would stop us running a meeting.

The forecast is saying an isolated shower or two and the temp is going to be 26 so even if we do cop a shower it will dry very quickly. The other advantage is that most of the fine clay has been washed off and the surface is grainy and open, which drains much better and offers awesome grip without destroying tyres; ideal conditions on Ryde track.

As for Sunday we will have to keep an eye on the reports, but I suspect we may have seen the worst of it.

Just checked the weather and we are a 95% certainty for both days now; unless the forecast changes dramatically tomorrow, which looks unlikely, we are good to go for an awesome weekend of racing, 100 cars over two days of fast paced action.

BTW we would much prefer people entered online and didn't turn up than turn up at 8:10 and want to enter then. Just remember if you haven't paid by close of entries then your entry will be deleted, unless of course you make prior arrangements with Shane or me. Oh and please don't enter online after about 10pm on the night before, the laptop will be at the track by about 7:00am so we will be going to bed early the night before and we can't get internet access at the track.

Thanks.

Our sponsors - Venom Group Australia, Oak In Vouge and RedStar Hobbies - have got together and provided the following awesome prizes.

1st Prize - DEX210 kit ($285rrp)
http://www.venom-group.com.au/dex210...oad-buggy-kit/

2nd Prize - Venom Pro ESC & Red Brushless Motor Combo ($260rrp)
http://www.venom-group.com.au/venom-...less-esc-120a/
http://www.venom-group.com.au/brushless-motors/

3rd Prize - iMax B6 Duo Charger ($149rrp)

In addition to the raffle there will also be a mystery prize for 1st place in the 3 most popular classes.
