For everyone that are wondering why this event is on the same weekend as the QLD titles at the sunny coast, as it is part of the North QLD games, we didnt have much say on the dates to host this event which is why it has worked out to be the same weekend as the QLD titles.

Cost of nominations for this event is as follows

1st class $35, 2nd class class $25 3rd and subsequent classes free

Junior class will be $10 and will be up to the age of 13 and under. There is also a Masters (over 40) class.

Bank details for direct deposit
account name: radio control mackay and district off road group
nab bank
account number 82-516-1845
bsb number 084-987
reference: please use your last name for reference. this will then be confirmed on slyfox once payment is received

nomination form will be posted in the coming weeks

Hi Everyone

as you maybe all aware, the North QLD Games are being held in Mackay & Whitsunday this year on the 22nd to 24th June 2012. For the first time in these games, RC-MAD will be having 2012 NQ Games Offroad Challenge as one of the sports being held on dates mentioned. As this is part of the NQ Games, each competitor will get a name tag, water bottle, cap and bag plus the option to buy merchandise over the course of the weekend. There is also a one off levy of $10 that needs to be paid as well plus each competitor needs to register for insurance reasons. You can do this by going to the NQ Games homepage which is copied below for you to the registration form. I ask that you only pay $10 levy when you fill out the form and pay your nomination fees either by direct deposit or on the Friday prior to practice.

Link to registration form is http://www.nqsports.com.au/pdf/Radio...Nomination.pdf.

We will be running the following classes:

1) Open: buggies (EP & IC), truggies (IC & EP (if not enough EP, will be running with Nitro)) SCT (2 & 4WD min of 6 per class to run)
2) masters: over 40 buggy only IC & EP all in (this will be decided by a 25min final)
3) Juniors: min of 6 (will be running the SCT track, run what you bring)

There will be medals for first, 2nd and 3rd for the above classes. Race format and Schedule will be released at a later date once i know what the numbers will be like. Can i please ask that this be passed onto all your club members who maybe interested in coming down for the NQ games, there will be camping available onsite with shower/toliet available. For the ppl who have already nominated on slyfox, please get your registration form and levy payment into the address details listed on the form ASAP. Nominations for the event is thru slyfox only which has the payment details on the event

Hope to see you in a few weeks for our NQ Games Offroad Challenge and please pass this information onto everyone that maynot be going to the QLDS and maybe would be interested in coming up to our event

Regards

Just a reminder for the NQ Games that each class must have a minimum of 6 entries to be considered as a class. this means that current the following are in doubt to run at the event due to lack of numbers.

1) 2WD SCT (Stock) currently 0
2) 4WD SCT (MOD) currently 2
3) EP Truggy currently 5
4) Juniors currently0

If these classes are to go ahead at the event, please nominate via slyfox and and send in your registration form as in previous post

rough format for the NQ Games

Friday: Open Practice 1Pm to 4PM (max of 10 on drivers stand, NO FUEL BOTTLES in Pits)

Saturday: start time of 9AM, all qualies (4 rounds to count, should get 6 in)

Sunday: Start time 9AM: All Finals, ABC finals (bump ups depending on numbers)

Nitro: A final 30min maybe 45min depending on numbers
Lower finals: 20mins

EP: 2*15min (buggy)
SCT: 2*10min
Masters (last race) between 15min to 25min (depending on time and number of drivers that qualify for masters)
Juniors: 2* 10min

regards

Have you blokes started to give sacrifices to the weather gods (I dont think broken mugen arms count) so the weekend will be free of falling moisture. It was a shame the Cup weekend was washed out but being a glass half full kind of guy the track has had a heap of water soak into it to bind it together.

Hi Dave

was more thinking on the lines of sacarficing an AE so the rain can stop but someone has certaintly upset mother nature at the moment. Hopefully the wet weather will stay away for the next couple of months as the track cant take much more water. Was out there this morning and we could start take up racing boats around it

cheers
