SORMCC Sydney GP

SORMCC are proud to announce the running of the annual Sydney GP 27th and 28th February 2010

This will be run as a warm up event for the NSW IC State titles.
So will be run as close as possible to that format over the 2 days e.g. 10 min heats ect
ARRCMCC rules apply.

Also this will be the 4th round of the Nitro Inter-club Series with all NIS classes catered for.

Entry Form out soon.

How many heats are there ? And how many on day 1 and day 2.
Thanks

chippy 01-28-2010 02:06 AM

The heat situation will depend on the amount of entries
So at this stage
Hopefully 3 heats sat and 1 heat and finals Sunday
As stated this is a round of the NIS and we will have the extra pull start class to contend with.
Being a 2 day event if entries are high might mean a change in format
Final programme is up to the discretion of the Race Director.

Why

2 day event 10 min qualifiers, dont expect too many entries. This is a brilliant way to scare people off.
With 5 min qualifiers you will cater for people that can not make it on saturday with 2 qualifiers on sunday.

Just a thought

Perhaps......

Or it will better cater for drivers who can make it both days. I guess there is two ways of looking at it, and I'd be surprised if it would scare drivers off.

Agreed 100%!!!

Whats with 2 day events anyway? Some people have lives outside of RC, or have family committments, or work weekends....

I also like single day events aswell but what can you do? Some people can make saturday not sunday and some can make sunday but not saturday.

Who do they please?

Well Brad now that you mention it....as long as I'm happy, who gives a hoot!! only gagging folks:ha::ha:.

I appreciate most people struggle to make some two day events, but surely there are other single day events suitable for a "run".

Don't forget this is part of the Nitro Interclub Series, so I assume a pre-determined format was agreed upon and must remain the same throughout the entire event for a calendar year??

For those who find the 2 day format difficult...I'm sorry.
For those who can make it for the 2 days...I can't wait to get it started...Bring it on:tire::tire::tire::tire:

The good thing about 10min qualifiers is you dont have to cut away half the tire :)
