Is there an estimate finish time of the Sunday? Trying to work out whether to fly home Sunday or Monday.
Thx,

Hi Scott. I just replied to your email, but it won't hurt to mention here, too.
We're aiming to finish by 5pm, but if last year is anything to go by, it could be more like 6pm once we hand out the trophies etc.

Hi Sam. Unfortunately, it'll be closed for track preparation from the Friday the week before the big weekend. With Friday being the only practice day. Sorry about that.

Really? Faaark. So much for my 10am arrival in Adelaide on Thursday.
Would have thought for a state titles there'd be more than just 1 day of practice.
Any chance the track can be opened even just a few hours in the afternoon?

Sorry if you based your travel plans on there being practice on the Thursday, Scotty : /
But that day has already been set aside for trackwork. Friday has the full 8 hours.

New to off road states and I’ve got a couple of questions,
Can we get an idea of what needs to be scrutineered on Friday? Is it chassis marked and stock motors checked? Motor in or out of the vehicle? Do the motors need to be pulled down?
When can we get tyres to glue?
Is there a practice round on Sunday? I’m not running any 2wd so will practice Friday and then do we then go straight into qualifying Sunday? how will qualifying get graded? Is there a timed control practice round Friday for seeding?
Thanks Benzaah.

From Mark C....
Hope this helps.
New to off road states and I’ve got a couple of questions,
Can we get an idea of what needs to be scrutineered on Friday?
Scrutineering includes: Weight, Width, tires, wing cords, esc for stock, motors, chassis and safety aspects (sharp edges ect.)
Is it chassis marked and stock motors checked?
Yes both are checked and marked/sealed.
Motor in or out of the vehicle? Do the motors need to be pulled down?
If your motor has a seal on it or we seal it when you get it from the club there is a visual check. If it has no seal or has been opened before we will check the motor internals.
When can we get tyres to glue?
If you let us know we can bring your tire order (or part order) to the track this Saturday for the Ray Munday practice school.
Is there a practice round on Sunday?
I think Phil said it would be open Sunday but I am not sure.
I’m not running any 2wd so will practice Friday and then do we then go straight into qualifying Sunday?
Yes that is correct
how will qualifying get graded?
We have used results from previous meetings and AARCMCC standings any data we could get. If we run a timed practice Friday this will also be used for seeding. Also after the second round of qualifying the drivers will be re-seeded.
Is there a timed control practice round Friday for seeding?
This will depend on the numbers that show up, as we cannot run mixed class practice, we will group classes and run timed practice to give all classes equal track time. If numbers are not to high we will run open practice by classes, again with time sharing.
Thanks Benzaah.

is it rained out?

The club is going to try and run 2wd and 4wd tomorrow, if the weather allows it.

It was a big weekend that sadly didn't turn out how we would've liked. Saturday was a complete wash-out even though the track covering worked really well to keep the actual racing surface dry. Sunday was also quite damp and we at least managed to get a full round of qualifying done, but the weather just wouldn't let up and it became too muddy, forcing us to call it a day with the carpet being especially slippery in places. The ARCR crew (and interstate helpers) did an amazing job to try and keep the show rolling and it was a truly commendable effort by all involved. We'd like to thank all those who travelled far and wide to come and race with us, and specifically John Karnaros for being our time keeper, Scott Cameron for doing a great job race directing and Steve Russell for handling the BBQ, keeping us all well fed, all day. And last but not least, Jess May earning the new title of 'Raffle Queen.
