Does anybody in Aus know where I can buy one of these kits from a LHS?

Ben

The 417x is not in Australia yet and probably never will be so you will need to get it from overseas, there are available in Europe ATM but in Asia very shortly, most of the Asia local hobby shops will have them soon,

The X-ray I am not sure but if you try northern beaches hobbys and speak with Greg I am sure they have them and I think I even seen one at Rubens at the RC pit just the other day

They can be purchased locally

Mate, go with an Xray. I ran mine for the first time last night and the car is perhaps the best I have owned in any of the Xray range.

speedtechrc.com are apparently getting the 417X in stock on the 10th Dec, they ship using EMS and total cost is 566.98 USD. I've heard good reports about them and just ordered my 417X off them.

Before u buy anything check out the Sakura X1 , build quality like a tamiya , A1 out of the box , 2/3 the price of Tam and spares are dirt cheap and available from Feral in Au

Scott Griffiths is doing really well with it.

Just happens i have one for sale , put one pack through it only )
