625MG or 645MG?
 

I will be using 4.8v 1100mAh reciever batteries in my Ofna 9.5 RTR. There cases are identical 645 is .2 oz. lighter(who cares- not me), and .001 slower. I'm thinkin' 645... anyone else? If I upgrade to a 625 for throttle/brake, might I have stronger brakes?
Does an r/c transmitter use twice as much power as a reciever? thats why they put 8 batteries in them?
Will a reciever upgrade give me control farther away? Thanks

The 625 is a faster servo, but the 645 has more torque. For your buggy I would use both 645's for steering and throttle. You'll have stronger brakes and no problem turning those wheels.

You got it right on the batteries. All that a Rx does is gather the signal sent by the radio, while the radio actually transmits signals, hence needing more power.

Are you having problems with distance on your model?

my antenna does not make it to the end of the tube, and my range is perhaps 150ft on my Ofna MBX RTR.

That would probably be the first problem. Most Rx wire lengths are between 16"-20" in length. What kind of radio gear comes with the car? You may be able to contact that Manufacturer and see what the length of the antenna should be. TTYL.
