Hitec Flash 5x V-tail Problem
 

I have a Flash 5X tx and 555 rx radio system. I use it on my Pico Jet flying wing. It works fine on elevon mode but I wanted the use of the flap/spoileron switches as launch and full throttle trim adjustments (flaps as down trim when on full throttle & spoilerons for up trim on launch). This switch only works in V-tail mode.

My problem is when I switch the tx to V-tail mode with servos on channel 1&2 and aileron rudder mix on, I get aileron control on channel 1 but no elevator control on channel 2. Rudder moves the left control surface only.

With the same set up and servos on channel 1&5, I get elevator control on channel 1 (wrong, should be on channel 2) but no aileron control anywhere?

Can I actually do what I want to do on this radio. What is the difference of V-tail and elevon mode? Your help requested.
