Tx / Rx problem !

Hi,
as a small project for my nephew's birthday i putting a Kyosho trainer 40
together for him and found a Hitec Focus 4 without reciever and from a friend
of mine i got a HFS-04MI+ without crystal so i ordered a pair from UK with No name spec : FM35.060Mhz - UK ch66 marked T/R 27,
Something is very wrong couse when hooked them up with a pair of cheap
servos they went completly nut's
So far i know is the black lead to the right side on Rx but not sure !
So what have i done ? hooked up wrong , wrong type of X's - bad Tx - Rx ?
I would be extremly greatful for a reply in this matter,

Regards
Kjell.

As neither country of domcile not actual ftrequencies of the transmitter and receiver are mentioned, it is difficult to give a good answer.
1. If TX & RX are say 41 or 72 Mhz, then the 35 Mhz crystals will not be compatible.
2. If both TX & RX are labelled for the 35 Mhz band, then if the receiver crystal has a blue tip, it is dual conversion and will not operate your single conversion 5ch receiver.
