Servos capable of no lipo regulator
#16
We'll have three Hv servos to start and them perhaps more will follow.
I have run the 5955's on 2S Lipo with no issues but the motor in the 7955 is definately more capable of handling the higher voltage vs. the 5955, so I can't "officially" suggest it.

If anyone wants to see a list of all their servos and specs and ones that are comming look here... makes finding a servo by torque and speed so much easier. http://servocity.com/html/hitec_servos.html

Just want to throw this out there, the HSR-5980SG (robotic servo) will handle 7.4 unregulated... delivering - 333.29 / 416.61 oz.in (6v/7.4v).
I know some people say you shouldn't run this in a 1/8 scale buggy, but I have been for a while (prior was a rock crawler), and nothing but awesome performance.
Hitec edit: This servo is NOT recommended for R/C applications. Using it with R/C radio systems you would loose most of the resolution in the servo. Use the 7955TG. It will handle the higher voltage, has a titanium gear train and has the heat sink middle case to help dissipate the heat.

got it,, use the 7955TG if your unregulated until June,, then the new ones will be available..
seems like the 7955TG is suited for steering?? is there one that is recommend for throttle/brake activity,, possibly with a little less .oz's ??

Yeah and if you run one of those then you CANNOT run straight lipo, you have to use a regulator or your throttle servo will go up in smoke!! Steering will be good but not the throttle! Im going to be running 2 7955tg's..

I have since moved to the 7955TG in my Losi 8T. It was just an experiment until I got the 7955TG.
