The high pitch noise is due to the digital circuit. It is caused by the high refresh rate. It will get louder if there is a load on the servo.

On another note... the 7966HB is an ultra high speed servo designed for heli's. While it is an excellent servo, it is not the optimal choice for that application. The throttle/brake servo on a truggy is one of the harshest environments for a servo there is. You really want to have something with at least 170+ in/oz of torque so the servo does not overheat. The 7985MG is a much better choice, or the 7955 is even better. Yes, they are slower but will be much more reliable since they don't have to work as hard.

In early '09 (March?) Hitec will release the new 7940TG (0.07 @ 182 oz/in) which will fit the bill of ultra speed with a significant amount of torque. Also the 7950TG (0.15 @ 403 oz/in) will also be available offering ultra torque! :D
