HS-965MG Issues

Hi...i have 2 new Hitec HS-965MG coreless ultra speed servo. Below are the problem i face.

when the servo is not connected to anything (on it own) and i plug it to my rx, when i switch it on, i can hear the servo with "tick""tick""tick" sound. sound! sound like something is stress on it. what could be the problem? or is it normal?

Thanks!

Thats kind of hard to say what the problem is with out looking at it. Normally a "tick" or a "clicking" sound would indicate a gear problem though. This is probably something you will want to have checked out.

i have the same servo in my scale 1.9 rock crawler and it does a very similar thing some times

because i have a chassis mounted servo instead of the diff like most rock crawlers i think it is just the servo trying to hold the center, if i drive for another 10cm or so in straight line it all seems to settle in and has found its center spot

Its just like there is a tiny bit of pressure against the servo trying to maybe push it out of center

Sounds like the servo is centering.
It may have a little slop in the gears.
