INITIAL KICK on TURN ON

hello

I am controlling a REEDY DS spec Motor made by Team Associated with a Hitec SP 1801 n speed control.

When I turn it on at the Speed Control swtich, It gives an initial full rev kick for a tenth of a second or so.

Can I stop this as it is damaging my setup.

Thanks

V

Is your transmitter already on before you are turning on the speed control?

not using a transmitter or reciever

am using an arduino to controll the controller.. but the arduino IS NOT sending the KICK TURN ON command

It can be normal for servos to momentairly twitch when power is applied to them in a normal R/C setup. Some receivers are a little bit more prone to it than others but since you are not using a normal setup I cant really say what is causing your issue. It could be the same voltage spike when powering up your controller board that is causing it.
