If you guys are bored of sitting around this winter and want to run some great offroad elec. only racing try SMAC track in St. Charles, Mo. We had 190 entries this past saturday for a club race. Yes 190! Averaging 140 every week. Its crazy! Well run program. We had 22 heats with stock, mod., sportsman, and slash classes. Not trying step on Ar. thread but I know you guys are wanting to race somewhere before the series starts up again.

No website but you can type in smac track on youtube and see some of the layouts from this year. The track opened last year in another smaller building. Scott moved it across the street to a larger building and its really a nice run program. AMB lap counting and it goes quick. 2 minutes between heats with that many entries. Clay type surface with good traction and lots of elevation changes. Plenty of pit space but you need to bring your own tables and chairs. Food is unbelievable. She even started cooking breakfast this week since we start earlier now. Doors open at 8 on saturday and racing starts at 1. I know most of you guys from the Jonesboro side are running onroad but its not that far to St. Louis. I'm going every other weekend and it takes about 3 1/2 hrs from Branson. Competition is some of the best I've seen. Go to the Mo. thread on here and look for smac trac.

Default Any 5th scale tracks in Arkansas?

I was wondering if any of the tracks in Arkansas run a 5th scale class on a regular basis. I'm an Oklahoma City guy here, and I've been driving to Texas to race, in fact one week from today I'll be racing in Darrouzette Tx. I'm looking to run 5th scale offroad, but I don't know anyone in Oklahoma who races 5th offroad. Just in case there's some 5th scale guys out who don't know anywhere to race. Here's a couple racetracks that run large scale rc races all the time.

Coody Creek Speedway in Muskogee OK, races quarter scale sprints, and 5th scale on their dirt oval track every other weekend. They will host the QSAC dirt nationals coming up pretty soon. Here's a link to their track's RC forum.
http://www.createforum.com/coodycreekspeed/

And another link to their website's RC page.
http://coodycreekspeedway.com/RCCars.html

I also found out that Timberline Raceway is going to re-open next month after taking about a year and a half off. They race everything from 10th scale up to quarter scale on their offroad and oval tracks. They don't have their website back up yet, but the best place I've found for up to date info is on this forum. You only have to register to post, anyone can view the thread.

Thanks for any help, and hopefully I was able to help someone here out too.
