No opening date yet. Still polishing all of the little things through. Hobby shop is almost done and a few more things left before opening can happen.

Track is going to be rebuilt soon for the Desert Classic, which btw sold out in under 4-5 hours.

Email [email protected] And let him know what class you'd like to be wait listed for.

IIRC class rounding hasn't been done yet.

Track is set up really good! Stoked to get back in to the hobby, thanks to those that put in the work to get this dialed in.

Hobby Action track was open Saturday, there were some live feeds of the practice going on. someone mentioned a race possibly too on this past Sunday.

there was unofficial test/practice going on weeks prior, but don't worry the track is being redone for the Cactus Classic, check https://www.facebook.com/HobbyAction for more information.

i asked a AE sponsored driver about the type of dirt, he said it was a lot like the dirt at the once indoor competition hobbies raceway in Tucson.

I was there practicing both Saturday and Sunday. There will be a club race this coming Saturday (Check facebook for more info).

It is an interesting surface to run on. I am new to AZ so can;t really compare it to anything else out here. I expect that is will be closer to a blue-grove track than a clay track, once there is more track time on it. Pro-line electrons seemed to work well for me, I did not have them in M4 but i suspect those would develop a better grip.

I am still playing with setup, and since I am running a RB6.6 was not a lot of people to compare to. However I was pretty pleased thus far . .

nice thing that dirt was not sticky either car clean up was easy, as compared to the 'glue' srs used that kinda looked like clay . . .

There wasn't a race on Sunday.

First official race will be this Saturday.

Dirt is a clay top soil mix, It will be ran dry with the edges watered, blown off every run.
