Default U4 Track coming soon to Fear Farm

The club at Fear Farm (AZRCR) has broken ground on a new U4 Track where the 1/10 track is now. For anyone not familiar with U4 it is Rock Crawler racing. The track is an obstacle course with high speed sections and should be a blast to race on. Axial Yeti or something comparable will be the class of vehicles to race. More info posted as it comes in.

Me and a buddy were over there on saturday and met a few guys making headway on the new course. looks really good so far. i tried running my slash on it and the yeti's ate it alive through the obstacles.

so i bought a yeti and i'm stoked to race with everyone there. cheers

I saw a competition on NBCsports where moto cross bikes were racing over logs and big rocks and deep mud. Cant remember what it was called but it looked interesting. definitly was not about speed. More about navigating the obstacles. Is that what this U4 thing is? Obviously with 4W RC rigs not bikes

Check out U4RC.com! You'll get the idea, I am still working on the track along with the U4RC club, should be open for racing soon!

That looks painful to me but I know it's blowing up big. I did see an 1/8 offering for rock racing

This actually looks like a lot of fun, which 1/10th racing doesn't seem to be anymore. What classes are likely to be most popular and which vehicles would be good to start with.

I am not sure if rock racing has classes John. I think its all just rock racing. Right now the Axial Yeti would be the most popular vehicle to get started for little money. Integy seems to have a couple of really nice rock racers but the roller only is close to $600 and you still need to buy motor, ecs, servo, radio, receiver and batteries so you will be in the $1200 range by the time you can drop it on the track.
