Well if mom's in town, he need to spend time with her.

Are you going up to Prescott on the 19th?

Its called Valley Hobby Shop in Prescott Valley, there is a thread on the place here on the AZ section. Like many places today they use Facebook to distribute info so you'll find more about the track and the on-road racing there. It has been off-road only so far, some type of commercial carpet, (not crc racing carpet), but as mentioned they are opening up to on-road once a month. Baised on their fb post no pancar classes are being offered initially only TC and mini. But they do say that every effort will be made to run other classes if enough show interest, what constitutes enough I don't know.

I'm all for trying it out if you guys are, one thing to note tho in order to have enough for a class I think we would all need to run the same motor/batt etc. If we go up with 3 classes of 2 or 3 cars each that may not be received well. Also from the fb page all esc's are to be in blinky mode, no boost or timing is allowed; I've heard the track is not real big hence the blinky rule.

Yeah, everybody should have a car for Stock when we go up. I'm in for it. It'll be a long day for sure.

it's hard to get a sense of scale from the videos I've seen of the track but it looks plenty big to race on.

Yes, a good grand son should spend time with their grandmother! On a side note, when are you guys coming out to run 1/12 scale in Mesa? We had 10 17.5 1/12 scale cars this last weekend.

Sure thing, have you been running your mini? I assumed it was on the shelf.

Only kicker is u have to be a Roar member. You don't have to be a club member, just pay a little higher entry fee. It's a little bumpy but not bad. Ask Eric Denck what he thinks of it. Plus you can ride up with Jamie Smith and/or Jesse Castro if they have room.

Oh, and you haven't dropped the ball. Last weekend with the great weather was the first time in a while that we had 1/12 Scale cars.

Ok gotcha, if you ever get the chance Flagstaff has a strong mini turnout during their summer racing program.
