Fast Eddie's RC Hobbies, Yuma *INDOOR CARPET*
#1

Just a heads up, the small but growing hobby shop of Fast Eddie's RC Hobbies in Yuma AZ is moving and expanding into a new building the first week in May.
Efforts are being focused on an indoor 60x40 carpet track, with genuine CRC carpet and Clik Trak barriers.
We are trying to get a feel for what kind of interest there is in an indoor program and are people even willing to drive from out of town to race indoor carpet? So far we are planning to race the following classes:
1/10 Novice on-road
1/10 17.5 4wd Touring
1/10 Vintage 25.5 (Modified VTA 25.5 rules)
Off Road
2wd SCT & SCB
17.5 2wd Buggy

Thanks for the reply. I think 12th would be fun but like you said, no one is supporting it unfortunately and I know only one of our local guys has any interest. We need to establish our race program and put down some roots first.
However, if you bring some buddies and have at least 4 cars....we'll run a 12th class for you on race night. Maybe it will light a fire here.

I plan on running 17.5 Touring. I might get a 1/12 just to run it during practice nights, I used to love running that class. Although back when I ran 1/12 there were no lipos or brushless motors so it was a mad science how to be fast and also not dump. Now it's almost too easy with the technology we have available. I remember running 1/12 4cell Mod and gearing/hitting a specific roll out to basically dump at 8min 20seconds so you'd have just enough left to finish the race plus one lap.

Our move-in date is getting close. We are waiting for the carpet for our indoor track to get delivered, and should be laying it this weekend.
